Use these distinctions when discussing an integration; familiar labels can conceal different responsibilities.

| Attempt | One provider-bound execution with a stable reference. |
| Asset | Denomination plus precision, issuer and custody context. |
| Journal | Balanced ledger postings recording a financial movement. |
| Hold | Reserved availability awaiting capture or release. |
| Settlement | Provider-reported movement reconciled separately from payment confirmation. |
| Reversal | An explicit correcting movement preserving original history. |

| Fixture test | Controlled protocol or service evidence; not a real provider transaction. |
| Sandbox acceptance | Observed behavior with authorized provider test access. |
| Live approval | Explicit approval for the selected real program and scope. |
