History you can reconcile.
Balanced journals, explicit books and reversals preserve the explanation behind every movement.
Balanced, append-only financial history
Ledger services create balanced journal postings with asset and book boundaries. The posting context binds environment, organization and source reference. Idempotent source operations prevent repeated processing from recording the same movement again.
Corrections preserve the original journal and use explicit reversal or compensating records. Operational evidence and imported statements are separate from the journal’s authority; merely uploading a document does not post funds.
Availability, holds and separate books
A hold reserves availability without pretending that final settlement already occurred. Capture or release resolves it according to the authorized operation. Consumer, merchant tracking, cash and card-related records have distinct purposes; a shared database does not erase their boundaries.
Real custody, redeemability, issuer obligations and reconciliation ownership must be established by the approved program. Demo journal balance is not proof that customer funds are held by a licensed institution.
